MCDONALD’S Philippines announced the renewal of a franchise that grants another 20-year license, which gives them the flexibility to open more stores this year.

The franchise renewal event took place at McDonald’s Buhangin via livestream on April 4, joined by the other branches in Quezon Avenue Ligaya and Cebu Vestil.

During the event, Kenneth S. Yang, McDonald’s PH president and CEO, shared the company’s achievements through the years.

“I believe that our growth will help in nation building by contributing to employment and really the economy,” Kenneth said.

Joining the livestream event were his father, Dr. George T. Yang, McDonald’s PH chairperson and founder, and Margot B. Torres, managing director.

Yang highlighted that in 2024, the store opened 65 new franchises, totalling 792 stores across the country, and they look forward to surpassing that to more than 800 this year.

He also shared how 44 years of McDonald’s service has given opportunities to all Filipinos (working students, out-of-school youths, PWDs, senior citizens, and others) to work, upgrade skill sets, and be a positive force in the community.
