THE LTB Chefs Association Philippines-Davao Chapter will offer scholarships to four lucky winners at the 7th Davao Culinary Cup at the SM Lanang Atrium on May 23-25.
Salome San Jose, LTB competition director, said their association is selecting teachers of culinary-related courses to be part of the scholarship program to begin in July.
“One student is about P200,000. Our association has set more than 30. So LTB Chefs Association of Manila has spent as of now about P6 million to our scholars na mga teachers sa academe,” she said at the PEP Talks in SM Lanang on May 14.
Culinary teachers with two years of experience can avail of the scholarship and get proper training at the International School for Culinary Arts and Hotel Management International School for Culinary Arts and Hotel Management (ISCAHM).
San Jose also added that the 7th Davao Culinary Cup will be their biggest event for this year with 300 contestants from Mindanao. The event will also pit professionals against students.
“It doesn’t matter if you are a professional or you’re a student, hinahap nila yung mga talents kase you cannot tell na because you’re a professional talented ka na talaga. There are students na magagaling din,” he said.
