LAZADA officially announced its operations and services expansion in Mindanao during an event with the press at the Arcadia Event Center on Thursday, Feb. 20.
“We are committed to delivering the best price and best experience to buyers, sellers, and brands, and we are proud of our expanding presence and ecosystem across the country. Our vision is to empower Filipino-owned businesses, and as eCommerce continues to grow, we remain focused on making it accessible, helping even more Filipinos embrace convenient, digitized lives,” CEO of Lazada Philippines Carlos Barrera said.
Dr. Roland Suico, Davao City Chamber of Commerce & Industry president, said the expansion of Lazada will not only help the economy of the city but to generate employment for the Dabawenyos.
Lazada sellers from the city include Bioskin, Cacao Culture, Dok F Factory, Lola Abon’s, and Engseng Food Products, among others.
Ken Libranza, from Lazada’s Expansion in Mindanao department, introduced its “Barato sa Lazada” campaign for shoppers. This offers delivery in as fast as 4 days, up to P120 off on shipping for a minimum spend of P199, Mindanao-exclusive deals and vouchers, and easy, free returns.
Local businesses on the other hand can avail of special seller packages, including a 0% Platform Commission Fee for 90 days, 0% Promo Pass for the first 30 days, a store consultant, 100% sponsored solutions credit, and complimentary 8,000 seller coins.
Lazada also launched its new Davao office located on the 6th floor of the Regus-Felcris Centrale Mall, where local sellers may visit for assistance on onboarding, workshops and seminars, join campaigns, and enroll in seller programs, among others.
The platform has also improved its return and refund policy, extending it to 30-day free returns, and an easy refund process, and has expanded categories for Change of Mind returns, to reach the satisfaction of consumers.
In a bid to maximize and more personalized shopping experience, customers can also make use of Lazada’s GenAI features including AI Lazzie, Southeast Asia’s first eCommerce chatbot, which acts as a personal shopping assistant.
On top of shopping assistance, it can provide product review summaries, tailored recommendations, image-based searches, a skin analyzer, and virtual try-ons, streamlining customers’ purchasing decision-making.
Lazada’s 3.3 Pasabog Sale from March 2 (8 PM) to 7, offers Add-to-cart now where clients can enjoy up to 90% off LazFlash deals and up to P2,000 off Campaign Vouchers, only on the Lazada app.
