VERONICA “Kitty” Duterte, daughter of former President Rodrigo Duterte, wished her father “good health” on his birthday on Friday, March 28.
When asked about her birthday wish for her father, Kitty said, “Good health, and I hope he eats the food they provide there. He needs to stop being stubborn.”
“To all the Filipino communities around Europe and around the world, thank you very much for your support from me and my family. We are grateful to you. Please don’t stop until former President Rodrigo Duterte comes home,” she added.
Former President Rodrigo Duterte’s partner, Honeylet Avanceña, and their daughter Kitty arrived in the Netherlands on Wednesday, going directly to the International Criminal Court (ICC) detention center.
However, they were unable to visit the former president, leaving the facility at approximately 1:55 p.m. in The Hague (9 p.m., Manila time).
The former president is in the custody of the ICC on charges of alleged crimes against humanity related to his drug war.
Avanceña and Kitty went to the reception area of the ICC detention center to inquire about visiting the former president.
Avanceña and Kitty arrived in the Netherlands in time for the elder Duterte’s birthday on March 28.
Meanwhile, Davao City 1st District Representative Paolo Duterte has received clearance from the House of Representatives to travel to 16 countries—including the Netherlands—from March 20 to May 10.
