MAYORAL candidate Karlo Nograles hopes for the best outcome regardless of who Davaoeños pick to lead them after casting his vote in yesterday’s mid-term elections.
“So, kung sino man ang manalo is sana ay maging good shepherd for Davao City in his or her own capacity,” Nograles said in an interview on May 12 at Teodoro Palma Gil Elementary School.
Nograles emphasized that Davao City needs a leader who is not bound by their ethnicity or political affiliation. He also hopes there will be no conflict or fighting among people once the elections have finished, and that future leaders of Davao need to continue serving the people.
When asked about oppositions or violent reactions when his party wins the election, he replied “I don’t think magkakaroon ng violent reaction because hindi yan ugali ng taga Davao.”
On the same day, Migs Nograles, 1st Congressional District candidate, reminded people to exercise their right to vote, whether they are a supporter or non-supporter of the opposition.
She added that everyone must also respect the results, even if the outcome might not be what they expect.
Last May 8, Councilor Bernie Al-ag challenged Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte and other candidates to undergo drug tests before the elections after his recent screening. Al-ag said the challenge is a decision-making process for the people to know if the elected officials are drug users or not.
