JCI Davao seeking membership

JUNIOR CHAMBER International (JCI) Davao is trying to recruit more members to grow the organization and allow it to continue its community outreach programs for this year and beyond.

Darwin Mandante, 2025 JCI LO president of JCI Maragusan Pyagsawitan, shared that membership retention is one of the organization’s current major problems, which has been their challenge for many years.

“Due to the outcome of the projects that we are conducting, that’s also one way of attaining [them] again, encouraging again those members,” Mandate said in a media day event on Apr 7.

He added that JCI has three categories of local organizations, where Category 1 requires around 76 members while Category 3 has to maintain 25 members or more.

Regular requirements for memberships are ages ranging from 18 to 40 years old, with the youth mostly being focused.

“We have a lot of young talented people in JCI, and one of the problems we are facing is the resources that we have. That’s why we keep on partnering with the government and also other private agencies,” said  Maui Maulana, 2025 LO president of JCI Greater Davao.

Maulana believed that young talented professionals have the passion to make positive change possible with initiatives to help people and communities.

JCI Philippines currently has more than 200 local organizations in the country and 28 affiliated organizations across Davao Region.
