Implementation of minimum health standards intensified

THE CITY government is deploying more personnel to intensify the implementation of minimum public health standards. 

Dr. Michelle Schlosser, City COVID-19 Task Force, said that violators will also be arrested.

“Kasi whether we like it or not overwhelmed man ang atoang safety and security cluster and policemen, kay apart from Covid management and the implementation of the MPHS, naa pa man gud main work ang atoang mga personnel such as crimes and all of those things po, labi na pud ang gina-implement nato na household lockdowns,,” Schlosser said.

She added that members of the Response Cluster in the task force, which include the Vice Mayor’s Office, the City Transportation and Traffic Management Office, the Prevention and Enforcement, the City Economics Enterprise Office, the City Health Office, and the City Tourism Operations Office.

Schlosser said personnel are authorized to arrest those who will not wear masks and will not implement physical distancing in public places.

She added that these deputized personnel will apprehend those who will not wear face masks and will not follow the social distancing. 

The personnel will be trained as Angel Sumagaysay, head of the Public Safety and Security Command Center, is looking at deputizing additional 100 personnel.
