
TWELVE of the endorsed candidates of Duterte-led Partido Demokratiko Pilipino (PDP) and local party Hugpong sa Tawong Lungsod Party (HTLP) won Davaoeños’ votes in the 2025 midterm national and local elections.
For the DuterTen: Bong Go garnered 673,736 votes; Bato dela Rosa gained 662,886 votes; Rodante Marcoleta had 556,417 votes; Jimmy Bondoc (550,723); Phillip Ipe Salvador (500,122); Raul Lambino (482,639); Jayvee Hinlo (480,717); Atty. Vic Rodriguez (457,496); Apollo Quiboloy (439, 930); and Doc Marites Mata (439,566).
Camille Villar and Imee Marcos, who were both endorsed by Vice President Sara and adopted by PDP two days before the election day, gained the 11th spot with 254,755 votes and the 13th spot with 163,144 votes, respectively.
Gringo Honasan and Ariel Querubin, who were said to be endorsed by the former president Rodrigo Duterte gained 200,199 and 114,128 votes, respectively.
During the campaign rallies, PDP Laban bets actively promote the DuterTen, as they believe it is the only way to counter the impeachment charges and elect the Vice President Sara Duterte for the presidency in 2028.
Senator Bato said following the “kidnapping” of the former president, VP Sara will be the next victim.
“Kung itugot nga makalusot ming napulo, pun-an pa ni Senator Robinhood Padilla, kung duna tay onse ka senador nga mobalidad, wala silay mahimo, dili nila mapalagpot si Inday Sara,” Bato said in the miting de avance on May 9.
VP Sara said during the election day, she endorsed Imee as she believed in her capacity to lead the senate inquiry in the alleged abduction of the former President to The Hague.
Their names might ring a bell for Davaoeños, but the partial, unofficial results state otherwise.
According to Comelec data as of May 15, 1:42 pm, only three out of 10 got in the top 12: Bong Go, who remained Top 1 with 26,490,710 votes; Dela Rosa placed 3rd with 2,273,810 votes; and Marcoleta with 14,911,633 votes. Camille and Imee, on the other hand, placed 10th and 12th with 13,360,444 votes and 13,038,627 votes, respectively.
