THE DAVAO City Police Office apprehended a high-value target and seized suspected shabu worth P1.4 million in an early morning buy-bust operation.
The operation, conducted at around 1:30 a.m. on Jan. 30, in Purok 1, Hill Top, Barangay Langub, was carried out by the Police Station 15-Ecoland, led by acting station commander Major Butch Kevin Rapiz.
The suspect, known as alias Bai, was arrested during the operation.
“The relentless fight against illegal drugs remains a top priority for the Davao City Police Office (DCPO),” city police director Col. Hansel Marantan said.
“With unwavering commitment, our officers continue to intensify anti-drug operations to safeguard our communities from the devastating effects of narcotics,” he said.
He stressed the DCPO’s commitment to protecting communities from this threat and holding drug peddlers accountable.
“To the brave and committed personnel of Police Station 15-Ecoland, I extend my deepest gratitude and commendation for your outstanding service,” Col. Marantan said. “Your vigilance and dedication serve as a beacon of hope, proving that through unity, vigilance, and collective action, we can create a drug-free and safer Davao City.”
Marantan called on the community to cooperate with law enforcers in the fight against illegal drugs.
