A 74-YEAR-OLD is now detained at the San Pedro Police Station after he allegedly stabbed to death his 70-year-old wife inside their house in San Antonio Village, Barangay 19-B, around 4:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 26.
According to the report, the couple’s daughter heard her parents fighting. The next moment, the victim called out to her since the suspect was already uncontrollable and threatened to kill her.
However, the suspect stabbed the victim before their daughter could intervene.
The San Pedro Police Station recovered the two knives believed to have been used in the crime.
The suspect, which TIMES is not identifying, was diagnosed with schizophrenia aggravated by depression, the police said. Nevertheless, investigators will file a parricide case against the septuagenarian.
