GLOBE BUSINESS, the corporate arm of Globe Telecom, urged micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to up their game and revolutionize retail by exploiting digital solutions, during the day-long event at SM Lanang Premier on Sept. 1.
During the event, the telecom provider installed “Globe Business Retail Revolution,” a pop-up store that showcased various digital solutions and platforms for wholesale and retail MSMEs.
“At Globe Business, we firmly believe in empowering retail businesses with innovative products and solutions tailored to their business needs,” Globe Business segment marketing manager Kath Janda said in a speech.
“We commit to be a trusted and reliable partner of wholesale/retail MSMEs in their digital transformation journey,” Globe Business said in a statement.
The event highlighted the “Connected Retail” concept, designed to integrate customer online and offline experiences through customized marketing, improved supply chain process, seamless shopping, and widening payment options tailored to MSMEs.
E-commerce Website Builder by Prosperna, ChatGenie, Inventory Management Solutions by Zayls, Managed CCTV Solution, and M360 are among the digital solutions featured in the event.
Various MSMEs partners including Malagos Homegrown, Handtrix Corporate Giveaways Trading, OTOP.Ph, ES Things specialty shop, and Sewn sandals installed their booths where mall-goers can purchase their products.
Renowned expert speakers from various industries graced the event and shared best strategies, challenges, opportunities and impact of digitalization in retail business, including entrepreneur and inspirational speaker Jayson Lo, Philippine Retail Association Vice President Atty. Paul Santos, Rakuten Viber Business Development Specialist Lerick Felipe, Prosperna Philippines Head of Growth Francis Oliva, and Sophia Jewellery Director Arnold Infante.
Philippine Retail Association vice president Atty. Paul Santos urged entrepreneurs to take advantage of the advancements, “not as fleeting solutions but as pivotal aspects to elevate business and enterprises”.
Meanwhile, Arnold Infante of Sophia Jewellery reminded entrepreneurs and business owners that digitalization does not happen overnight, and as technology is here to stay, make use of free online resources and capitalize on the younger workforce who are tech-savvy, to make the most of the business’ potential.
