THE ANCILLARY Services Unit warned five vendors after they were found selling food at the park at the Davao City Coastal Road.
“Gahapon naa mi sa coastal road kay naa’y nag report nga naa’y vendor didto naka-bike lang ginabutang lang nila sa ilahang bike, gi-warningan man to gahapon nga tanggalon ang ilang baligya o kargahon namo ang ilang bike (Yesterday at the coastal road.. we received a report that there was a vendor there selling goods on a bike. He was warned that we will remove his goods and we will confiscate his bike),” Bermejo said.
He added selling of goods remained prohibited inside the park.
Bermejo suggested to the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (Cenro) to discuss the matter with the Parks Board.
He added the vendors are also not allowed to sell at the entrance or exit points of the coastal road.
Bermejo said some of the 200 personnel of his office continue to monitor or stay on sidewalks and pedestrian overpasses to ensure there are no ambulant vendors there.
