FOUR INDIVIDUALS were injured in a multiple-vehicle pile-up at the Generoso Bridge in Davao City around 11 a.m. on Nov. 9.
The five vehicles involved were a Suzuki Jitney PUJ, a Honda XRM motorcycle, a Yamaha RS110 motorcycle, a Mitsubishi Adventure, and another Suzuki Jitney PUJ.
Initial investigation revealed that all vehicles were traversing the MacArthur Highway heading toward Magallanes Street.
The Mitsubishi Adventure led the convoy, followed by the two motorcycles, and two jeepneys. A chain reaction of collisions began when the second jeepney rear-ended the first jeepney.
Captain Hazel Tuazon, the spokesperson of the Davao City Police Office, said the impact caused a domino effect, with the first jeepney hitting the motorcycles, and one of the motorcycles hitting the rear of the Mitsubishi Adventure.
As a result of the collision, the riders of both motorcycles and a passenger in the second jeepney sustained injuries. The injured individuals were immediately transported to the Southern Philippines Medical Center for treatment.
All involved vehicles were impounded by authorities for further investigation.
