A COMMOTION erupted in Barangay Talomo on Saturday, Jan. 6, when residents tried to stop the construction of a fence resulting in a gunshot and injuries to a police officer.
The incident occurred at Prk. 47, San Roque Bangkal when the landowner implemented a fencing permit issued by the City Building Official.
According to the Davao City Police Office report, approximately 300 individuals assaulted the workers. The situation escalated when one of the individuals, known only as Orak, drew a handgun and fired a shot.
Staff Sergeant Louie C. Cuison sustained minor injuries from flying debris during the commotion. Orak and his companions then fled the scene.
The Talomo Police Station personnel responded to the incident and are now investigating the case, pursuing all leads to apprehend the suspect.
