THE POLICE Regional Office XI clarified that the live streaming by Alonzo Rosas John Eric does not depict current events in Davao City.
According to PRO XI, the video in question was a recycled clip from a recent Philippine National Police (PNP) operation. Specifically, the footage originated from the apprehension of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, which garnered significant media attention and public interest.

Recycling the footage, presented as a live stream, has created a false impression of new, related police actions within the city, the police said.
With this, the PRO XI urged the public to exercise caution when consuming information from unofficial sources, particularly on social media. They emphasized the importance of verifying information with official statements and news releases from the PNP and other reputable news outlets.
“We urge everyone to check information from official sources and avoid sharing misleading content,” it said.
‘We strongly encourage everyone to rely on official sources for accurate and timely information,” the spokesperson added. “Sharing misleading content can contribute to unnecessary anxiety and confusion. We all must work together to ensure the dissemination of reliable information.”
The regional police office is also investigating the source of the video and the intention behind its dissemination. They are reminding the public that spreading misinformation can have serious consequences and may be subject to legal repercussions.
