This is in line with the anniversary of the Republic Act 11982, or the Expanded Centenarian Law, which expanded coverage of RA 10868 or the Centenarians Act of 2016, which was signed into law last February 26, 2024.

The law provides elderly Filipinos aged 80-95 years old are entitled to a P10,000 in cash gift.

Maria Victoria Arancon NCSC Cluster 8, Project Development Officer said 78 Davaoeños will receive cash grants during the simultaneous payout.

For Region 11, the event will jumpstart in Davao City Recreation Center (Almendras Gym) on February 26, meanwhile, other provinces will follow.

The beneficiaries are those who have celebrated their 80th, 85th, 90th, 95th, and 100th year from Jan. 1-3.

At present, NCSC recorded 29 beneficiaries from Davao Del Norte, 10 from Davao De Oro, and 10 from Davao Occidental.
