TROOPS from the Eastern Mindanao Command’s (EastMinCom) 23rd Infantry Battalion (23IB), under the 402nd Infantry Brigade of the 4th Infantry Division (4ID), participated in the Simultaneous Unity Walk, Manifesto Reading, and Covenant Signing to support the 2025 Mid-term Elections.
Thousands of residents, government officials, military personnel, and local organizations marched through key areas—from Butuan City to Las Nieves, Carmen, Nasipit, and Esperanza—symbolizing a shared commitment to honest, peaceful, and orderly elections.
The event featured the reading and signing of the Election Manifesto and Covenant, where stakeholders—including local government units, law enforcement agencies, and civil society—pledged to protect the integrity of the 2025 elections.
The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) reaffirmed its vital role in ensuring peace and security throughout the election season, vowing to provide necessary security for a safe and fear-free voting process.
The activity also strengthened military-community collaboration in safeguarding democracy and upholding the will of the people.
