EastMinCom empowers women through mental health awareness

THE EASTERN Mindanao Command (EastMinCom) has taken significant strides in promoting women’s empowerment and well-being by conducting a Women’s Forum on Dec. 10, 2023.

The event, held in observance of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW), aimed to equip female personnel with essential tools to manage stress and anger, fostering healthier relationships and stronger decision-making.

Lt Col Ares G. Macailing, a member of the Camp Panacan Hospital (CPH) Mental Health Training Team, delivered a comprehensive talk on stress and anger management.

Macailing highlighted the importance of recognizing triggers and implementing effective self-regulation techniques.

By doing so, individuals can minimize conflict, improve communication skills, and enhance resilience, leading to a more balanced and fulfilling life.

The forum was well-attended by female personnel from EastMinCom, demonstrating their active participation and commitment to the Command’s initiatives.

This event underscores EastMinCom’s dedication to empowering women and promoting a culture of respect, understanding, and mental well-being within its ranks.

Through such initiatives, EastMinCom continues to strengthen its commitment to the welfare of its personnel, fostering a harmonious and supportive environment.
