REGIONAL drug enforcement agents and the police arrested a high-value suspect and confiscated approximately ₱780,000 worth of illegal drugs—including shabu, dried marijuana, kush, and cannabis vape oil–following an entrapment operation at 11:26 a.m. in Purok Mangga, Barangay Poblacion on Tuesday morning, Sept. 8.

Authorities identified the suspect as 27-year-old alias Dom, who allegedly sold a heat-sealed sachet of suspected shabu valued at ₱7,000 to an undercover agent.

A secondary search following the arrest yielded a substantial variety of illicit substances, including:

  • Three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing approximately 57 grams of suspected shabu;
  • 66 cellophane packs of suspected dried marijuana leaves;
  • Five cellophane packs of suspected high-grade marijuana kush;
  • Three vape cartridges containing suspected cannabis oil;
  • Assorted drug paraphernalia alongside the buy-bust marked money.

    PDEA XI regional director Atty. Benjamin G. Gaspi commended the joint operating units for intercepting the diverse drug cache before it could circulate through local communities.

    “This successful operation shows our continued commitment to stopping the illegal drug trade. PDEA 11, together with our law enforcement partners, will remain relentless in pursuing drug personalities and protecting our communities,” Gaspi said in a statement.

    All confiscated drug evidence was submitted to the forensic laboratory for qualitative and quantitative examination.

    The suspect remains in law enforcement custody and faces formal criminal charges for violations of Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
