BACK-TO-BACK anti-drug operations over the weekend resulted in the arrest of three drug suspects—including two high-value individuals—and the seizure of over ₱190,000 worth of suspected shabu.

In the latest operation early Sunday morning, Oct. 25, Sasa Police Station (PS4) personnel, led by acting commander PMAJ Raymundo B. Bacera Jr., conducted a buy-bust operation at 1:04 a.m. in Purok 1, Muslim Village, Km. 11, Barangay Sasa.

The joint operation with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency XI led to the arrest of a high-value target identified by authorities as alias Bai, who yielded suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price of ₱54,400.

This followed a joint operation on Saturday morning, Oct. 24, where anti-drug operatives intercepted a repeat offender and a street-level dealer along the Davao City Jail Road in Barangay Ma-a.

At around 10:20 a.m., the City Drug Enforcement Unit/City Special Operations Group (CDEU/CSOG), under PMAJ Bernie B. Suaga, teamed up with RPDEU XI/RSOG, the 1st and 2nd City Mobile Force Companies, Ma-a Police Station (PS17), and PDEA XI to raid a hideout in Purok 28.

The operation resulted in the arrest of the suspect and the recovery of approximately 20 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of ₱136,000.

All suspects are now in police custody,  facing criminal charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

DCPO chief PCOL Peter Bauzon Madria commended the operating units for the operations.

“These successful operations demonstrate DCPO’s relentless, intelligence-driven campaign to keep Davao City safe and drug-free,” Madria said.
