THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) brought a wave of gratitude and compassion to vulnerable sectors of the community on Friday, May 30, 2025, through a heartwarming gift-giving initiative.
Led by acting director Col Hansel M. Marantan, the activity saw police personnel reaching out to the 48 children residing at CIC Balay Dangupan and 50 elderly residents of Co Su Gian Home for the Aged, both located at Dragon Compound in Buhangin.
Each received essential goods, including sacks of rice, canned goods, comprehensive grocery packs, and much-needed medicines.
The occasion was further brightened by a shared meal, fostering a sense of community and warmth among everyone present.
Marantan said the initiative underscored the DCPO’s unwavering commitment to its broader mandate of protecting the vulnerable.
“Beyond their primary law enforcement duties, the activity highlights the police force’s dedication to extending care, compassion, and sustained support to those most in need, particularly abused children and the elderly,” he said.
