THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) is once again recognized as the top-performing unit of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Southern Mindanao, according to the PNP’s unit performance ratings (UPER).
The UPER is conducted every month to evaluate the operational and administrative performance of city police offices, police provincial offices, police regional offices, and other PNP offices/units.
The DCPO secured the top spot out of all the municipal and city police offices in Davao Region in the January 2024 UPER.
In a statement, city director Col Alberto Lupaz attributed this achievement to the “unwavering dedication to duty and sincere public service” of their police personnel.
Meanwhile, DCPO spokesperson Capt Hazel Tuazon said all peace and order programs of the DCPO will remain active. These include the anti-sexual crimes campaign Oplan Kilos, anti-theft/robbery program Oplan RAT-Tugis, and other anti-criminality campaigns.
Tuazon added the DCPO will also continue to deliver public services to the community through its Oplan Kalinaw outreach program. She also urged the public to continue supporting the DCPO in its campaigns.
“Atong gina-awhag kanunay ang pagtinabangay sa tanan, ug nagpasalamat mi kay Top 1 na pud ang atoang Davao City Police Office gumikan kana pud sa tabang sa community (We are urging everyone for their continuous cooperation, and we are thankful that the Davao City Police Office is once again Top 1 due to the help of the community),” she further said.
