THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) is gearing up for the upcoming Pasko Fiesta, which is scheduled to open on Nov. 29.
Captain Hazel Tuazon, DCPO spokesperson, said the executive committee conducted a series of meetings to outline the Pasko Fiesta activities. She said their focus now is to focus on the number of personnel to be deployed from Dec. 1 to 31.
“We are reviewing the venue changes for certain activities to determine the necessary number of personnel for each area,” Tuazon explained. “The DCPO is prepared to deploy its City Mobile Force Company as needed.”
Meanwhile, Ensign Winston Gonzales, deputy commander of the Coast Guard Station Davao, expressed concerns about theft, riots, and rugby sessions in the coastal area.
“We’re planning another meeting next week to discuss the deployment of personnel to specific areas to prevent these incidents,” Gonzales said.
“The ongoing construction of the Matina Aplaya substation will also enhance security along the coastal road,” he added.
