THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) seized over P6 million worth of illegal drugs and apprehended 436 individuals in November.
This reflected the DCPO’s commitment to maintaining peace and security in the city, under the leadership of
Acting city director Col. Hansel Marantan said they conducted 140 operations, resulting in the arrest of 179 drug personalities last month. Authorities confiscated 784.4357 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P5,334,162.76, and 5,683.21 grams of marijuana worth approximately P681,985.20.
He said they filed 225 drug-related cases in court.
The crackdown extended to illegal gambling, with 36 individuals arrested in 17 operations. Police seized P12,755.00 in bet money and filed 17 cases related to illegal gambling.
The DCPO also prioritized apprehending wanted persons, conducting 203 operations that led to the arrest of 203 individuals, including 51 most wanted persons and 152 others.
Furthermore, 44 operations targeting loose firearms resulted in the arrest of 18 individuals and the filing of 18 cases in court.
