
THE DAVAO City Police Office conducted the Civil Disturbance Management Operation Seminar (CDMOS) from April 8 to 14, 2025, Sandigan Hall and Covered Court in its headquarters along San Pedro Street.
Fifty personnel from the different units/stations of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) – Ready Standby Support Force (RSSF) participated in the training.
DCPO chief Col Hansel Marantan said this seminar reflects our ongoing commitment to strengthening our personnel’s preparedness and capability in managing civil disturbance scenarios.
“We emphasize professionalism, discipline, and strict adherence to the rule of law in these situations, particularly during times of social unrest and mass gatherings,” Marantan said.
“We deeply appreciate the dedicated lecturers from RMFB XI for sharing their time and expertise on the course overview, riot control operations, and various tactical formations,” he added.
The DCPO chief also extend his appreciation to Major Lean Marquez, the DCPO legal officer, for providing critical insights on legal considerations and police operational procedures (POP) related to CDM.
Participants also engaged in rigorous practical exercises on CDM composition, riot control strategies, and squad and platoon formations, which were held at the DCPO Covered Court, Camp Captain Domingo E. Leonor.
“To all our resource persons, thank you for your invaluable contributions to enhancing the operational readiness of our personnel. Your knowledge and dedication are instrumental in shaping a more responsive, professional, and capable police force,” he added.
“Let us continue working together in the spirit of excellence, service, and integrity in every operation we conduct for the safety and security of our beloved Davao City,” he further said.
