DCPO conducts election simulation exercise

THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) conducted a comprehensive simulation exercise on May 2, 2025, to bolster its preparedness for the 2025 National and Local Elections.

Acting city director Colonel Hansel M. Marantan said the simulation is part of the Police Regional Office XI’s contingency plan. It was spearheaded by Police Station 2-San Pedro at Bolton Elementary School, Bolton Street, at approximately 1 p.m.

He said the simulation tested personnel capabilities, evaluated emergency protocols, assessed contingency plans, and ensured the functionality of response mechanisms and equipment.

“This proactive initiative is crucial for strengthening the overall security framework and guaranteeing a swift and organized police response to any potential incidents during the elections,” he said.

The exercise underscored the critical importance of readiness, vigilance, and seamless coordination, not only within the police force but also with the support and cooperation of the community, he added.

“This simulation exercise is a vital step in ensuring that our personnel are fully prepared to handle any situation that may arise during the elections,” stated Col Marantan.

The DCPO emphasized its dedication to upholding the integrity of the elections and ensuring the safety of all citizens.
