THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO), under the leadership of Col. Hansel Marantan, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new chapel and daycare center at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024.
The officials who graced the event included Col Renante C. Cabico, chief of the regional staff of Police Regional Office XI; Col Hansel M. Marantan; Rev. Fr. LtCol Randel V. Cinches, OIC of the PRO XI Regional Pastoral Service; Maj David S. Ybalio, representing Col Cesario D. Dukiling, regional chief of RLRDD; LtCol Joseph Casauay, regional chief of REU XI; DCPO command and staff officers; and representatives from Magnum Builders Corporation, led by Diane B. Ragas.
The DCPO chapel, with a project cost of P4,979,999.49, will provide a dedicated space for prayer, reflection, and spiritual growth for police personnel and families.
Meanwhile, the DCPO daycare center, with a project cost of P7,379,976.34, will offer a safe and nurturing environment for the children of DCPO personnel, allowing officers to focus on their duties with peace of mind.
