DCPO:  12 drug suspects arrest in 24-hour crackdown

THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) arrested 12 individuals, including a city-level target, in a series of anti-drug operations within 24 hours from Oct. 21 to 22, 2024.  

City police director Col. Hansel Marantan commended the efforts of the DCPO and acknowledged the vital role of community support in providing information leading to successful operations.

“We are relentless in our pursuit of those involved in the illegal drug trade,” said Marantan. 

Ten anti-drug operations were carried out by various police stations across Davao City, resulting in the seizure of shabu with an estimated street value of Php 140,148.  

The breakdown of seizures by police station is as follows:

  • PS1 Sta. Ana: Php 5,916.00
  • PS2 San Pedro: Php 9,588.00
  • PS3 Talomo: Php 40,460.00
  • PS4 Sasa: Php 2,176.00
  • PS5 Buhangin: Php 45,288.00
  • PS8 Toril: Php 5,236.00
  • PS10 Calinan: Php 3,332.00
  • PS15 Ecoland: Php 2,040.00
  • PS18 Bajada: Php 26,112.00

Marantan reiterated their commitment to conducting further operations to ensure the safety and security of all Davaoeños.
