EIGHTEEN events will be hosted by The Davao Food and Wine Festival 2024 in Davao City from Oct. 4 to 27.
Davao Food and Wine Festival 2024, the second Davao Food and Wine Festival, aims to food stamp Davao City as the culinary destination in the world featuring unique food events and cuisines that Davao City has not seen before.
The festival’s 18 events will be held in different venues in the city for the month of October. Venues include SM Lanang, Ayala Malls Abreeza, Dusit Thani Davao, Park Inn by Radisson Davao, and many others.
Chef Choy Llido, head of operations of Mindanao Butchers, mentioned that this year’s festival has expanded to three weeks featuring four chefs from Lima, Peru who will attend the opening event.
Llido shared that some of the chefs from last year’s Davao Food and Wine Festival were convinced to put up businesses in Davao instead of their talents being used in other countries.
“So DOT has pledged help for the culinary talents we have na mag put up silag businesses diri, so maayo ni siya na signal. Diri sa Davao, we’ve been seeing a lot of talents naga uli na,” Llido said during the PEP Talks.
He also hopes to reach the target number of participants of 8,000 for the Davao Food and Wine 2024 compared to last year’s festival of 4,500 participants.
