CREBA seeks 1,000 members for Davao City’s thriving real estate industry

THE CHAMBER OF Real Estate Builders Association (CREBA) Davao Chapter aims to recruit 1,000 active members as part of its five-year plan to drive infrastructure developments and promote sustainable practices of urban development.

CREBA Davao president Jarvie Harlem Gantalao

CREBA Davao Chapter president Jarvie Harlem Gantalao shared in a press conference that membership is one of the major challenges of the real estate industry in Davao City with few active members after the COVID-19 pandemic. He also said that the industry is growing due to more investors and developments coming to Davao City.

Gantalao added that they will also invite more stakeholders and key players in Davao City to shape the local real estate landscape.

CREBA Davao will begin its ambitious five-year plan this year to create regular activities that will help stakeholders and members.

“We understand that the membership recruitment for the chapter [Davao] is intensified as we or the chapter is gearing for to implement a five-year strategic action plan,” CREBA national vice president Jocelyn Yumul said during a press conference.

Yumul hopes that Davao City will be hosting the 2026 National Convention, and encouraged the active members to continue supporting all CREBA activities and advocacies.

One of the key highlights of CREBA Davao Chapter is the infrastructure boom of ongoing projects in the city namely the Samal Island-Davao City bridge connector project, the Davao City Bypass Road, and the redevelopment of Davao International Airport (also known as Francisco Bangoy International Airport).

Other key highlights that emphasize resilience, growth potential, and opportunities for stakeholders include sustained demand in Davao’s real estate market, affordable housing, sustainable developments, and tourism and hospitality.
