Police have already arrested two of the three suspects tagged in two hold-up incidents that happened in Talomo District last weekend.
Members of the Talomo Police Precinct are still tracking down the third suspect, the one who allegedly stabbed a sales crew of a burger stall.
Chief Insp. Ronald Lao, the Talomo Police Precinct commander, said they have already filed criminal charges against the three suspects, John Carlo Abellana Telleros, Celedonio Genobio Caballero, Jr and March Satori Palmero.
Telleros, 18, single, and resident of Pag-asa Village in Barangay Matina Aplaya, is tagged in the robbery and molestation of Venus (real name withheld), a saleslady of Gaisano Mall of Davao, on Sunday in the said barangay.
Caballero and Palmero, on the other hand, are accused in the Angel’s Burger stall robbery in Barangay Catalunan Pequeno where the victim, a sales crew, sustained two stab wounds.
Two of the suspects were arrested during the hot pursuit operations conducted by the police: Telleros on Monday while Caballero on Sunday. Palmero is still at large.
Lao said Telleros was apprehended at around 6 p.m. on Monday at corner Pag asa Village in Matina Aplaya.
The victim positively pinpointed Telleros as the one who robbed and tried to molest her.
Recovered from the possession of the suspect was the victim’s stolen cellphone, a colored black Cloud Phone.
Telleros, however, denied the allegation that she robbed and molested the victim.
The suspect said he just happened to accompany the perpetrator.
In a radio interview, Telleros said he sustained no injury, contrary to the earlier claim of the victim that she was able to stab her attacker.
A case of robbery with acts of lasciviousness was filed against Telleros before the City Prosecutor’s Office.
On the other hand, Lao said they already filed on Monday a case of “robbery and frustrated murder” against Caballero and Palmero for robbing and wounding Michelle Marcos Tabog, the sales crew of Angel’s Burger.
The case against Caballero underwent inquest proceeding because he was already detained after he was arrested on Sunday. The case against the still at-large Palmero will undergo a regular proceeding.
Caballero also denied having participation in the Angel’s Burger stall robbery.
He said he only accompanied Palmero, not knowing his intention.
Police said Caballero was the look-out during the robbery.
The three suspects were behind the two hold-up incident that happened in Talomo area last weekend.
The first incident, involving Caballero and Palmero, happened in Barangay Catalunan Pequeno around 5 a.m. Saturday, as the robbers victimized and wounded Tabog, the burger stall crew.
The second incident, involving Telleros, happened in MGR Teachers Village in Barangay Matina Aplaya at around 1 a.m. Sunday, as the robber attacked Venus, the mall saleslady, who was on her way home.
Tabog, 33, is a resident of Barangay Ondanao, Penaplata District in Island Garden City of Samal, Davao del Norte, and temporarily stays in Barangay Subasta, Calinan District.
Tabog is in critically condition as she was stabbed by the attacker twice – once in her neck and another in her back.
Venus, 18, a resident of MGR Teachers Village, was able to parry the robber’s attack and was able to stab her attacker.
At 5:19 a.m. on Saturday in Catalunan Pequeno, a suspect took the daily sales of P7,000. Before leaving, the robber stabbed Tabog.
Concerned citizens rushed the victim to the hospital.
In the second case, victim Venus was walking on her way home when an attacker waylaid her in MGR Teachers Village.
The suspect declared a hold up and took her Cloud Phone worth P2,000 and P300 money. The suspect also touched her private parts.
However, Venus fought back and she was able to disarm the attacker.
The victim then stabbed the attacker, wounding him in his left arm.
