THE COMMISSION on Elections XI assured on Friday that there is no pre-shading of official ballots for the May 12 National and Local Elections.
Comelec XI assistant regional director Atty. Gay Enumerables said the official ballots will be delivered on May 11 in the clustered polling precincts.
“As to the allegations that there is pre-shading, ang atong mga balota wala pa na deliver sa atong mga presinto, naa pa sa possession sa atong mga treasurers,” Enumerables said during the Kapihan sa Davao on Friday, May 8.
She added that it is safely guarded by watchers of political candidates and the members of the Philippine National Police, Armed Forces of the Philippines, and the volunteers from the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting.
“Walay mahitabo nga pre-shading, kay safely guarded siya and sealed,” Enumerables added.
This, following the circulating text that ballots were pre-shaded, which was also debunked by Police Regional Office XI Spokesperson Major Catherine dela Rey.
Dela Rey stressed that no member of the Philippine National Police XI is involved in the claims that ballots have dots and winners are pre-identified.
“I-deny nako nga naay SPO4 niingon nga bantayan ninyo ang mga balota kay naa nay mga tuldok daan para madaog ang isa ka kandidato, definitely fake information na siya,” the official stressed.
