City records three fire incidents in 24 hours 

THREE separate fire incidents were reported on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2025, causing property damage but luckily no casualties.

The first fire occurred around 9:44 a.m. in Alley 10, Barangay Centro, Agdao District. 

The Lanang Fire Station responded to the alarm, which was raised to the second level. Five houses were completely destroyed, while three others sustained partial damage. 

The fire was declared under control at 10:37 a.m. and completely extinguished at 12:26 p.m. The estimated damage to property was P492,000.

Later that afternoon, at 2:44 p.m., a fire gutted seven houses and one church in Phase 1, Farland Extension, Talomo. Firefighters arrived at the scene at 2:56 p.m. and brought the situation under control at 3:15 p.m. They declared a fire-out at 3:23 p.m. According to the report, the estimated damage in the incident reached P200,000.

Finally, a third fire incident happened at 1:40 p.m. in Central 1, Binugao, Toril District involving a two-story building, which sustained partial damage. The fire was quickly brought under control at 1:50 p.m. and completely extinguished at 1:53 p.m. The estimated damage was placed at P15,000.

Fire investigators have yet to determine the causes of the fires.
