A CITY-LEVEL target was arrested by the Baliok police in a buy-bust operation conducted in Pepsi Cola Village, Barangay Dumoy, Talomo District, around 8 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21.
Captain Hazel Tuazon, spokesperson of the Davao City Police Office, only identified the suspect as alias Niño, who was considered a top two city-level target.
According to Tuazon, the 35-year-old jobless resident of Barangay Dumoy was apprehended by personnel of the Baliok Police Station and the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit Team.
The operation involved a P8,364 shabu purchase leading to the confiscation of nine additional sachets with an estimated value of P286,484. Police also seized a .45 caliber Colt pistol with serial number 482839 and seven live bullets.
The suspect faces a charge of violating Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and Republic Act 10591 (Illegal Possession of Firearms) and is detained at the Baliok Police Station.
