LAWMAKERS threw their support behind the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Philippines’ simultaneous activities from April 6 to 12 to celebrate camaraderie and impactful community initiatives.
On the 13th regular session at Sangguniang Panlungsod on April 8, Councilor Lorenzo Benjamin D. Villafuerte manifested the council’s support for the JCI’s events with the theme “Build Better Together.”
The activities include the fun walk on April 6, the job fair at Victoria Plaza NCCC on April 8, a blood donation drive on April 9 at South National Blood Center, a night market from April 9 to 11, and a tree-planting event on April 11, emphasizing environmental awareness and sustainability.
Christine Joy Suazo, JCI Durian City president, said, “We are trying to achieve for a blood donor of at least 100 donors, but if it exceeds, why not? Especially since our blood banks and Red Cross are in need of our blood donations.”
They also offer exclusive merchandise, where all proceeds will be donated to the Autism Society Philippines to support the autism community.
