A Millennial Night @ Park Inn by Radisson Davao

Intrigued with the invitation for “A Night of Fun and Young Vibes at Park Inn by Radisson Davao’s Millennial Night,” I skipped my gym workout last January 31, 2019, just to attend the event and satisfy my curiosity. We hear about millennials all the time but its not always clear who is part of this group. With the help of Google, I learned that those people born between the early 1980s to 1996 is the generation of the millennials. Millennials grew up in an age where the internet and iPhone became a way of life.

Cultural Potpourri: Food Tasting at Mindanao Butchers & Co. with Carmina & Carlo

It has rather been a while since I last sat down for a good meal with Carmina Mapa-del Rosario, the ever busy jet-setter and hard-to-please gourmand of Davao City.  Carmina Mapa-del Rosario, known for her Crazy Cook Catering, has always focused on her food advocacy rather than on the commerce and profitability of her food business. This Crazy Cook’s savory melange of slow food is a heavenly taste of art, culture and history combined.  Carmina’s love affair with food shows how she loves to eat delicious and mouthwatering fare.  And she’s a walking encyclopedia of matters pertaining to the culinary arts of the Philippines.

Cultural Potpourri: Korean Buffet 52

Buffets are a Davaoeno food lover’s culinary paradise. There are lots of variety of dishes that you find in a buffet offering including the more expensive favorites like seafood and steaks. Though I personally prefer indulging in a buffet meal during lunch, it is at dinner time when a buffet offering is at its best and also more expensive.

Wanderlust: Abreeza unleashes 2019’s fashion trends

Abreeza Ayala Mall once again leads the metro’s fashion scene with their brave fashion forecast for the year with “Outline: Fashion Trends 2019” held last Saturday, Jan. 26, at the mall’s activity center.

Cultural Potpourri: A Handbag Lady named Eica Martina Ong-Co

History has it that bags have been around for centuries. And yes, bags have been used by both men and women. As early as the 14th century, it was recorded that people used bags to carry their money afraid that they were of pickpockets and thieves in their midst.
