A CAFGU member was arrested after allegedly trying to sell a gun in Sitio Lumundao, Barangay Marilog, Marilog District, around 5:45 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 25.
Police identified him as Joselito Catad Capillan, married, a resident of Purok 1A, Libertad, Arakan, North Cotabato.
Authorities recovered the P1,000 marked money, a .45 caliber pistol, six steel magazines, 24 live bullets; a pistol holster; and his phone.
The confiscated items and the suspect are currently in the custody of the police while the case of violation of RA10591 (Illegal Possession of Firearms) under the Comelec gun ban is prepared against him.
