In an anti-drug operation on Tuesday, August 20, Buhangin police arrested two high-value targets and confiscated an estimated P1.4 million worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation at Emily Homes, Brgy. Cabantian.
Acting Davao City Police Office Director Col. Hansel Marantan identified the suspects as alias “Kuya,” a 33-year-old driver from Bislig City, Surigao del Sur, and alias “Neste,” a 42-year-old cashier from Lanao del Sur.
Marantan said “Kuya” is considered a Top 8 Regional Level target, while “Neste” is a Top 6 City Level target.
The suspects were apprehended after allegedly selling shabu to an undercover police officer.
Col. Marantan stated, “The Davao City Police remain steadfast in their commitment to eradicating illegal drugs from the city.”
“We are intensifying our efforts to target those involved in the drug trade to protect the vulnerable and innocent,” he added.
This successful operation underscores the Davao City Police Office’s (DCPO) dedication to combating illegal drugs.
The police urge the public to continue supporting their efforts by providing any information that could lead to the arrest of drug dealers.
