BARANGAY Ginebra’s Center Standhardinger and Guard Stanley Pringle head to a new home after being traded to the Terrafirma Dyip for Isaac Go and leading rookie of the year contender Stephen Holt a day before season 49 of the PBA Draft.

The deal also includes both teams to swap their first-round picks in this Sunday’s draft. Terrafirma now drafts at no.10 while Ginebra is at no.3.

Both Pringle and Standhardinger were 1st overall picks in their respective drafts. Standhardinger had his best season with Northpoint Batang Pier in 2019 leading his team to the semifinals during the Governors Cup.

Pringle and Standhardinger helped Ginebra reach the semifinals of the Philippine Cup this past season losing to the eventual champion Meralco Bolts in a 7-game series.

Ginebra head coach Tim Cone earlier said that they were looking for a guard and a big man in this year’s draft.

The acquisition of Holt and Go fits those roles as they could substitute the injured Scottie Thompson and Jamie Malonzo.

Holt and Go helped Terrafirma have a breakout season this year and led them to the Philippine Cup quarterfinals wherein they lost to San Miguel Beerman.

Both Go and Standhardinger are in contention for the Season 48 MVP alongside San Miguel’s CJ Perez and Fajardo.
