‘Big-time’ dealer

 

DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) operatives seized more than P5 million worth of shabu from an alleged big-time dealer following a buy-bust in Purok 2, Camus Street, Barangay 9-A, at around 1 a.m. on Friday, May 3, 2024.

According to DCPO spokesperson Captain Hazel Tuazon, officers apprehended a suspect identified by his alias Dodong, a 35-year-old resident of the same barangay. 

Dodong allegedly sold a sachet of shabu to an undercover police officer in exchange for the marked money.

A subsequent search yielded eight “jumbo packs” of shabu weighing approximately 781.2 grams with a street value of P5,313,160.

Two additional sachets containing 7.8 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P53,040 were also confiscated, bringing the total value of the seized contraband to P5,489,844.

The suspect is currently detained at the San Pedro Police Station and will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
