A TOTAL of 250,000 beneficiaries will be targeted with P1.2 billion worth of services through the MindaNOW: Serbisyo Para sa Mindanao at the University of Southeastern Philippines on Sept. 5-6.
The Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) partnered with the National Secretariat of the Bagong Pilipinas to conduct the 23rd Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair in Davao City to deliver government services and help closer to the people.
In a press conference at the Park Inn by Radisson on Sept. 4, Bagong Pilipinas national secretariat DSG Ponyong Gabonada said the partnership with MinDA has the same goal to improve and uplift the living conditions of Mindanaoans.
MinDA Secretary Leo Magno said the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair will continue in other parts of Mindanao. He also noted the numerous requests they received to hold the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo fair in Davao City.
“It was always an honor for us in MinDA to be part of any activity na nakakatulong sa ating kapwa Pilipino,” Magno said.
Gabonada explained the P1.2 billion allocation can be used by the agencies for their services and programs.
He also clarified that the activity is not exclusive to Davao City residents and people from nearby provinces may participate in the fair. Walk-ins are encouraged but registration via the Bagong Pilipinas portal is highly encouraged for smoother transactions.
The Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair is participated by 38 partner agencies with 57 programs and services offered. A total of P1 billion pesos will also be distributed in cash assistance programs.
“We are expecting that the agencies will perform at their very best pagnakaroon ng taong nangangailangan ng serbisyo sa kanilang opisina,” Gabonada said.
