THE DEPARTMENT of Education XI anticipates around 1.5 million enrollees in Davao Region for the School Year 2024-2025.
During the AFP-PNP Press Corps on Wednesday, July 24, DepEd XI spokesperson Jenetillo Atillo said last year’s records showed over 1.4 million enrollees.
“Maniguro nalang dapat ang katawhan nga magpa enroll gyud sila para sigurado,” he said.
He encouraged parents to enroll their kids since the July 26 cutoff. Enrollment started on July 3 in time for the opening of classes on July 29.
DepEd released three options for parents to enroll their children: in-person enrollment, remote (through SMS, Messenger, or Email), and Dropbox enrollment.
Atillo said the DepEd Central Office has not yet released a memo extending the deadline.
However, DepEd Region XI will take appropriate action to accommodate possible late enrollees.
When asked how prepared the DepEd Region XI is for the upcoming opening of S.Y. 2024-2025, he said they are “150% ready.”
