THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) will deploy 1,800 law enforcers to secure the prayer rally for former President Rodrigo Duterte, scheduled for his 80th birthday on Friday, March 28, 2025.

According to Captain Hazel Caballero-Tuazon, DCPO spokesperson, the rally is expected to draw approximately 100,000 attendees, including supporters from various provinces.

The security deployment will be divided as follows: Sector 1 (Ateneo Wing): 800 meters of Roxas Avenue, Sector 2 (Aldevinco Wing): 800 meters of Roxas Avenue, Sector 3 (Marco Polo Wing): CM Recto Street to Veterans Memorial, Rotunda (190 meters), Sector 4 (Vivaldi Wing): 170 meters of CM Recto Street, and Sector 5 (Avida Wing): 950 meters of CM Recto Street.

However, the DCPO has not monitored any threat that would disrupt the event.

In Davao City, organizers prepared the venue for the rally “Rody at 80: Global Filipino Solidarity” on Roxas Avenue, which will be led by Hugpong sa Tawong Lungsod.

Meanwhile, similar rallies will also take place in other areas in the country and the world.

In Netherlands, the Filipinos will also have a gathering just like a picnic at Pompstationsweg 32 in The Hague from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to celebrate the birthday of the former president. The activity, instead of the usual rally, was suggested by Vice President Sara Duterte so attendees don’t have to apply for a permit from the Dutch government.
