SAMSUNG Electronics launched its Galaxy A56 5G and A36 5G smartphones, introducing “Awesome Intelligence”—a suite of AI-driven features—to its popular mid-range series.
The new devices also boast enhanced cameras, improved durability, and stronger security, aiming to democratize advanced mobile technology.
For the first time in the Galaxy A series, users will experience AI-powered tools designed to enhance creativity and streamline daily tasks. These features, driven by One UI 7.0, include improvements to Google’s Circle to Search, allowing for quick identification of phone numbers, emails, URLs, and even music.
“The new Galaxy A series marks an important step in our mission of AI for all, by opening Galaxy’s incredible mobile AI experiences to even more people around the world,” said TM Roh, president and head of Mobile eXperience (MX) Business at Samsung Electronics.
The Galaxy A56 5G and A36 5G boast upgraded camera systems, with a 50MP main lens on both models and 10-bit HDR front lens recording for improved selfies.
The A56 5G further enhances photography with a 12MP ultra-wide lens and “Best Face” technology, which combines the best expressions from group photos.
Both phones also feature refined Object Eraser and custom filter creation tools.
Samsung has prioritized durability and longevity, offering up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades, along with six years of security updates.
The devices feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with 1200 nits brightness and stereo speakers. A 5,000mAh battery, coupled with 45W Super Fast Charge 2.0, ensures extended usage.
Powered by the Exynos 1580 chipset (A56 5G) and Snapdragon® 6 Gen 3 Mobile Platform (A36 5G), the new Galaxy A series promises enhanced performance.
Both models are IP67 rated for dust and water resistance and feature Corning® Glass for added durability.
Security and privacy are bolstered by the integration of One UI 7.0 and Samsung Knox Vault. The devices offer features like Auto Blocker and Theft Detection.
The Galaxy A56 5G will be available in Awesome Light Gray, Awesome Graphite, and Awesome Pink, while the Galaxy A36 5G will come in Awesome Lavender, Awesome Black, and Awesome White.
Both models will launch in the Philippines on March 17, 2025, at Samsung Experience Stores and partner retailers, and on March 24, 2025, at the Samsung Online Store.
