A 16-YEAR-OLD suspect has surrendered to barangay officials in Barangay Ma-a after allegedly assaulting and stoning a 13-year-old student along Diversion Road, around 11 a.m. on Jan. 28.
Reportedly, the perpetrator feared for his life after receiving several threats when a video of the incident went viral.
The incident occurred several days ago. The suspect was involved in a mauling incident in Las Terrazas, leaving the victim with serious injuries requiring a CT scan.
The suspect was immediately turned over to the police and is now under investigation by the Women and Children’s Protection Desk. The victim’s family has sought financial assistance to cover the medical expenses. The victim remains hospitalized.
