THE POLICE Regional Office XI and Davao City Police Office (DCPO) have maximized personnel deployment to ensure the safety of the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
“Since we have Christmas lights, make sure that it is fireproof and to prevent overheating when you are about to sleep turned off, think of safety first in merry-making during Christmas and New Year,” Major Catherine Dela Rey, the spokesperson of the PRO XI, said.
“We can use torotot (toy horn) for merry-making and remind us that if you are under the influence of alcohol, do not drive or use any firecrackers because you are not the only one possibly in an accident,” Dela Rey added.
The celebration of Pasko Fiesta 2024 in Davao City remains generally peaceful and orderly, according to a situation report released this morning, Dec. 23.
The report, according to DCPO spokesperson Captain Hazel Tuazon at 7 a.m. indicated no significant incidents related to terrorism, insurgency, maritime security, or criminality.
Several major events were held without any untoward incidents, including Perya sa Pasko Fiesta, Siyam ka Kadlawon, Sing along ni Pulong, Pasko Music in the Park at Bago, Aplaya Esplanade.
