- Missing woman reunited with her family after five days: DCPO
THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) on Tuesday dispelled speculations about an alleged kidnapping of a woman who went missing for five days.
Authorities said the woman was found safe and already reunited with her family following her disappearance, which sparked a community-wide search effort.
Captain Hazel Tuazon, the DCPO spokesperson, said Abegail Ador Go, did not go home on Dec. 5, 2024.
Go’s disappearance, reported to authorities by her husband Peter on Dec. 6, prompted a swift response from law enforcement and concerned citizens.
Police investigators, working in close collaboration with Go’s family, pursued leads and followed up on potential sightings throughout Davao City.
Tuazon said the family maintained active communication with Go, encouraging her to return home.
The combined efforts proved successful. At approximately 7 a.m. on Dec. 10, Go’s mother, Mary Ann, contacted authorities to confirm that her daughter had returned home and was in good condition, according to Tuazon.
While the details surrounding Go’s disappearance and subsequent return have not been fully disclosed, she said the outcome highlights the crucial role of community cooperation in locating missing persons.
