A TAXI driver may pay a fine and suffer other penalties after a passenger accused him of refusing service because she was carrying an infant.
Jessie Generalao, the driver in question, was summoned to the City Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO) following a complaint lodged on Saturday, Dec. 7.
CTTMO head Dionisio Abude met with Generalao on Monday, Dec. 9.
While Generalao issued an apology, he is now required to appear before both the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) and the Land Transportation Office (LTO) along with his operator.
Abuse further said that refusing to transport passengers is a violation of franchise agreements.
