THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) arrested 149 individuals during intensified anti-crime operations from Nov. 24 to Nov. 30.
The operations also resulted in the confiscation of over P700,000 worth of illegal drugs.
Acting city police director Colonel Hansel Marantan said the DCPO remains steadfast in its mission to protect the residents.
Throughout the week, the DCPO carried out 29 anti-illegal drug operations, leading to the arrest of 39 individuals.
One child-in-conflict-with-the-law (CICL) involved in drug-related activities was also rescued.
Authorities confiscated 109 grams of shabu with a street value of P739,398 and 51 grams of marijuana worth P6,120.
The DCPO’s intensified anti-gambling efforts resulted in the apprehension of 10 individuals in two separate operations. Authorities confiscated P2,916 in bet money and filed two cases against the violators.
Also, DCPO conducted 96 operations to capture wanted persons, resulting in the arrest of 96 individuals, including 51 most wanted persons and 45 others.
Meanwhile, the DCPO apprehended four individuals and seized four weapons in 16 operations targeting loose firearms.
Additionally, 12 firearms were surrendered, and four cases were filed in court.
These accomplishments highlight the DCPO’s dedication to enforcing the law while respecting human rights and adhering to police operational procedures.
