FPRRD bows out of future Congress hearings due to old age

FORMER President Rodrigo Duterte has announced that he will no longer attend future congressional hearings.

He explained that he already said everything that needed to be clarified to Congress.

Duterte said that he needed to rest as he spent over 14 hours answering various questions from congressmen during a previous hearing.

He added that due to his age, he has no plans to attend any more congressional hearings.

Meanwhile, President Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr. has issued a statement regarding the revelations made by Duterte during a hearing of the quad committee on Wednesday.

Marcos said that they will review the statements made by Duterte and determine if there are any that warrant further investigation, particularly those related to extrajudicial killings.

Meanwhile, Department of Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla confirmed that the newly formed Task Force on Extrajudicial Killings has already started its investigation into the drug war conducted by the previous administration.
